The liquid problem
Across EU airports, liquids, gels and pastes in cabin baggage are limited to containers of 100 ml or less, carried in a single transparent bag. That rules out most ready-to-drink electrolytes before you have even packed. You can buy a bottle after security, at airport prices, or you can carry something solid.
What survives a trip
Packaging matters more than people expect. Loose tablets crumble, tubs pop open, and powder sachets split and coat everything in a bag. Individually wrapped solid items survive being crushed, warmed and rummaged through, which is most of what happens to anything in luggage.
Temperature is the other factor. Anything that has to stay cold is a bad travel product. A room-temperature-stable pop is not.

Cabin air is dry, road trips are long, and days away from home rarely follow the routine you keep at home. None of that is a medical emergency and none of it needs a clinical product. It just makes a small, reliable, carryable option useful — plus water, which remains the main event.
